Summary
CVE-2024-10689 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the XLTab plugin for WordPress. This Information Exposure issue allows authenticated users, with Contributor-level access and above, to access data from private or draft posts created by Elementor. The vulnerability lies in the 'XLTAB_INSERT_TPL' shortcode, which fails to impose sufficient restrictions on which posts can be included. Consequently, attackers can extract sensitive information from these posts, bypassing intended access controls. WordPress users are urged to update the XLTab plugin to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
