Summary

CVE-2024-10683 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Contact Form 7 – PayPal & Stripe Add-on plugin for WordPress. Versions up to 2.3.1 are impacted by this issue, which stems from the inappropriate use of add_query_arg and remove_query_arg functions without proper escaping in URL handling. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious web scripts into pages, exploiting this vulnerability only when the "leave a review" notice is present in the dashboard. Successful exploitation occurs when users are tricked into clicking on specially crafted links.
