Summary

CVE-2024-10591 is a vulnerability affecting the MWB HubSpot plugin for WordPress. This issue allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to modify data unchecked via the hubwoo_save_updates() function, leading to privilege escalation. This can result in attackers updating arbitrary options on a WordPress site, including the default role for registration to administrator and enabling user registration. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, enabling attackers to gain administrative user access to vulnerable sites. Versions up to and including 1.5.9 are affected.
