Summary
CVE-2024-10584 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the DirectoryPress plugin for WordPress, specifically versions up to and including 3.6.16. This issue occurs due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in SVG file uploads, enabling authenticated attackers with author-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts. The consequence is the execution of arbitrary web code whenever a user accesses the infected SVG file. In cases where DirectoryPress Frontend is installed, this vulnerability can be exploited by unauthenticated users.
