CVE-2024-10340

Summary

CVE-2024-10340 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Shortcodes Blocks Creator Ultimate plugin for WordPress. This issue affects versions up to and including 2.1.3 and allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the 'scu' shortcode. As a result, any page containing an injected shortcode will execute the malicious script whenever a user accesses it.
