Summary

CVE-2024-10268 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Sonaar MP3 Audio Player plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 5.8, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts via the plugin's sonaar_audioplayer shortcode. Insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes are the root causes of this vulnerability, enabling attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts whenever a user accesses an injected page.
