Summary

CVE-2024-10247 is a vulnerability affecting the Video Gallery plugin for WordPress, versions up to and including 2.4.2. This issue allows authenticated attackers with Administrator-level access to inject SQL queries through the orderby parameter, which is insufficiently escaped and prepared. Consequently, sensitive data can be extracted from the database. The flaw stems from the lack of proper escaping and query preparation, enabling attackers to append malicious SQL code into existing queries.
