CVE-2024-10124

Summary

CVE-2024-10124 is a vulnerability affecting the Vayu Blocks – Gutenberg Blocks for WordPress & WooCommerce plugin. Unauthenticated attackers can exploit this issue by bypassing capability checks on the tp_install() function, leading to the unauthorized installation and activation of arbitrary plugins. This vulnerability, present in all versions up to and including 1.1.1, poses a significant risk, as attackers can potentially install and activate plugins containing malicious code, enabling remote code execution if another susceptible plugin is installed. The vulnerability was partially addressed in version 1.1.1.
