CVE-2024-10113

Summary

CVE-2024-10113 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the WP AdCenter – Ad Manager & Adsense Ads plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 2.5.7, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject malicious scripts. These scripts are stored in the plugin's wpadcenter_ad shortcode, and they will execute whenever a user visits an injected page. Due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes, the vulnerability enables attackers to manipulate web content, potentially stealing sensitive data or installing malware.
