Summary
CVE-2023-53015 is a vulnerability affecting the Linux kernel. In the "betop" HID (Human Interface Device) driver, a check for the shape of output reports in the "betopff_init()" function only verifies the total sum of report counts for each field, but the "hid_betopff_play()" function expects four report fields. Consequently, a device advertising an output report with one field and four report counts would bypass this check, resulting in a NULL pointer dereference and kernel crash.
