Summary

CVE-2024-1341 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Advanced iFrame plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the plugin's shortcode, specifically the 'advanced_iframe' shortcode, which allows users to include JavaScript files from external sources via the 'additional_js' attribute. This vulnerability enables authenticated attackers with contributor-level or higher permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. Upon accessing an injected page, the malicious scripts executes, potentially exposing sensitive data or even granting attackers additional privileges within the WordPress environment.
