Summary

CVE-2023-51643 is a Directory Traversal Remote Code Execution vulnerability affecting Allegra's uploadFile method. This issue enables remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on impacted installations, bypassing the existing authentication mechanism. The flaw arises due to insufficient validation of user-supplied paths prior to their usage in file operations. Successful exploitation grants the attacker the ability to execute code in the context of LOCAL SERVICE. (ZDI-CAN-22510)
