CVE-2023-5049 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Giveaways and Contests plugin by RafflePress for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to 1.12.0, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on the 'giframe' user-supplied attribute within the 'rafflepress' and 'rafflepress_gutenberg' shortcodes. Attackers with contributor level access or higher can exploit this weakness to inject arbitrary web scripts that will execute whenever a user visits an injected page.
