Summary
CVE-2023-4500 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability affecting the Order Tracking Pro plugin for WordPress. This issue, which exists in versions up to 3.3.6, allows authenticated attackers to inject malicious scripts into pages via the order status parameter, due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This vulnerability is significant because it enables attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts on pages that respond to user actions, such as clicking a link. The risk is heightened for multi-site installations and instances where unfiltered_html has been disabled.
