Summary

CVE-2023-40408 is a recently identified inconsistent user interface issue affecting macOS Sonoma 14.1, watchOS 10.1, iOS 16.7.2 and iPadOS 16.7.2, as well as iOS 17.1 and iPadOS 17.1. This vulnerability was resolved by improving state management in Apple's Hide My Email feature. The consequences of this issue are that the Hide My Email service may unexpectedly deactivate, compromising the privacy and security for affected users.
