Summary
CVE-2023-40168 is a vulnerability affecting TurboWarp Desktop applications before version 1.8.0. Malicious projects or custom extensions can exploit this issue to read arbitrary files from the user's disk and upload them to a remote server. The vulnerability requires no direct user interaction beyond opening an sb3 file or loading an extension. The web version of TurboWarp remains unaffected. The issue was resolved in commit `55e07e99b59` following an initial fix that was later reverted. Users are encouraged to upgrade to version 1.8.0 or later to mitigate the risk. Those unable to upgrade should exercise caution when opening sb3 files or loading extensions from untrusted sources.
