Summary
CVE-2023-39354 is a vulnerability affecting FreeRDP, an open-source Remote Desktop Protocol implementation. The issue lies in the `nsc_rle_decompress_data` function, where it fails to check for sufficient data length before processing `context->Planes`. This results in an Out-Of-Bounds Read. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to a crash. To mitigate this risk, users are recommended to upgrade to FreeRDP versions 2.11.0 or 3.0.0-beta3. Regrettably, there are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
