Summary
CVE-2023-39231: A vulnerability in PingFederate's PingOne Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adapter allows an unauthorized user, with knowledge of a victim's first factor credentials, to register a new MFA device without being required to authenticate through a second factor. This issue potentially enables attackers to bypass the MFA process, increasing the risk of unauthorized account access. Organizations using the affected PingFederate version should apply the available patch to mitigate this threat.
