Summary

CVE-2023-38241 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting Adobe Acrobat Reader versions 23.003.20244 and earlier, as well as 20.005.30467 and earlier. This issue represents an out-of-bounds read vulnerability, which allows an attacker to read sensitive data from memory. By exploiting this flaw, the adversary could potentially bypass Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) mitigations, increasing the attack surface. Notably, successful exploitation requires user interaction, meaning that a victim must open a maliciously crafted file to be vulnerable.
