Summary
CVE-2023-34411 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting the xml-rs crate before version 0.8.14 used in Rust and Crab programming languages. An attacker can trigger a panic by providing an XML document containing an invalid <! token, such as <!DOCTYPEs/%<!A nesting. The earliest known affected version is 0.8.9. This issue can cause the application to crash, leading to a denial-of-service condition. Developers are encouraged to update their xml-rs packages to the latest stable version to mitigate this vulnerability.
