Summary

CVE-2023-34260 is a vulnerability affecting the Kyocera TASKalfa 4053ci printer series. This issue permits a denial of service attack through the web interface. An attacker can exploit this flaw by accessing the /wlmdeu%2f%2e%2e%2f%2e%2e path, followed by a directory reference like %2fetc%00index.htm, to try and read the forbidden /etc directory. The attempted directory read results in a service outage. This vulnerability could potentially disrupt printer functionality and impact productivity.
