Summary
CVE-2023-33782: A critical command injection vulnerability has been identified in the D-Link DIR-842V2 v1.0.3 router's iperf3 diagnostics function. An attacker can exploit this flaw by sending specially crafted iperf3 packets to the affected device, resulting in the execution of arbitrary commands with root privileges. Successful exploitation could lead to unauthorized access, data theft, or denial-of-service attacks. Users are strongly advised to update their routers to the latest firmware version to mitigate this risk.
