CVE-2023-28651

Summary

CVE-2023-28651 is a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the CONPROSYS HMI System (CHS) versions prior to 3.5.3. This issue allows an attacker, who has administrative privileges, to configure specially crafted settings. As a result, an arbitrary script is executed on the web browser of another user, also holding administrative privileges, who accesses the vulnerable product. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as it allows attackers to steal sensitive information, disrupt system functionality, or execute malicious code. Users are strongly encouraged to update their CHS systems to the latest version to mitigate this threat.
