CVE-2023-21229 is a vulnerability affecting the ManagedServices component in certain software. It allows an attacker to bypass background activity launch restrictions through an unsafe use of a PendingIntent in the registerServiceLocked method of ManagedServices.java. This vulnerability grants local escalation of privilege, enabling the attacker to gain higher system access without requiring any additional execution privileges or user interaction.
