Summary

CVE-2023-21165 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the Linux kernel. In the function DevmemIntUnmapPMR of devicemem_server.c, a use-after-free condition exists, leading to a potential arbitrary code execution. This issue allows an attacker to escalate local privileges within the kernel without requiring any additional execution privileges. Importantly, user interaction is not necessary for an attacker to exploit this vulnerability.
