Summary
CVE-2023-20221 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting the web-based management interface of Cisco IP Phones 6800, 7800, and 8800 Series with Multiplatform Firmware. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this issue through a cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attack, taking advantage of insufficient CSRF protections. A successful exploit may result in a factory reset of the affected device, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) condition. Users are advised to update their devices to the latest firmware to mitigate this risk.
