Summary

CVE-2023-1521 is a Linux vulnerability affecting the sccache server. This issue allows a local client to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the sccache server by manipulating shared libraries using LD_PRELOAD. If the server is installed as the default root user via the snap package <https://snapcraft.io/sccache>, a successful exploit could grant the attacker root access.
