Summary
CVE-2022-49335 is a vulnerability affecting the Linux kernel's amdgpu driver. The issue arises when a cs command with zero chunks is submitted, causing a kernel NULL pointer dereference and resulting in an oops (Out of Memory) error. This issue was discovered during an attempt to execute the wrong userspace driver, as evidenced by the error message and call stack trace. The vulnerability can lead to serious consequences, including system instability or even a complete crash. The affected kernel version is 5.10.81. The issue has been resolved in a subsequent release.
