Summary
CVE-2022-30145 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the Windows Encrypting File System (EFS). This issue allows an attacker to remotely execute code on a vulnerable system, bypassing the need for local access. By manipulating specially crafted EFS encrypted files, an adversary can execute arbitrary code in the context of the EFS Recovery Service, posing a significant risk to data security and confidentiality. Microsoft has released a patch to address this vulnerability, and it is strongly recommended that all Windows users apply the update as soon as possible.
