CVE-2022-20634

Summary

CVE-2022-20634 is a vulnerability affecting the web-based management interface of Cisco ECE. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this issue by crafting a malicious URL and persuading a user to click on it. The vulnerability stems from inadequate input validation of URL parameters in an HTTP request, leading to an open redirect. This type of vulnerability can result in users being redirected to malicious websites, often used in phishing attacks. Cisco has released software updates to mitigate this vulnerability. No workarounds are available to address this issue.
