Summary

CVE-2021-47145 is a vulnerability affecting the Linux kernel's btrfs file system. During error injection testing, a panic occurred due to an invalid opcode in the 'link_to_fixup_dir' function. The error injection testing was designed to get legitimate errors from 'btrfs_search_slot()', but the unexpected panic is not an appropriate response. The error path for this code is designed to handle errors properly and simply return the error instead. The vulnerability has been resolved.
