Summary
CVE-2021-26093 is a vulnerability affecting FortiWLC versions 8.6.0, 8.5.3, and older. This issue involves an access of uninitialized pointer (CWE-824). An attacker who is locally authenticated can exploit this vulnerability by executing a crafted CLI command, resulting in the crashing of the access point managed by the FortiWLC controller. This could potentially disrupt network services. Uninitialized pointers can lead to unintended memory accesses, and in this case, they can be exploited to gain unintended control over system functions, leading to a denial-of-service condition.
