Summary
CVE-2021-1132 is a vulnerability affecting Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO) where the API subsystem and web-management interface fail to properly validate user-supplied input. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this issue by sending a crafted HTTP request with directory traversal character sequences, potentially granting access to sensitive files on the affected system. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as it allows unauthorized access to confidential information. Cisco has released software updates to mitigate this issue, and no workarounds have been identified.
