Summary

CVE-2020-1821 is a new out-of-bounds (OOB) read vulnerability affecting the Common Open Policy Service (COPS) protocol implementation in certain Huawei products. Six other similar vulnerabilities, labeled CVE-2020-1818 through CVE-2020-1824, have also been identified. These vulnerabilities reside in a specific decoding function and may occur when processing incoming data packets. A successful exploit could potentially disrupt services on the affected device. Huawei has assigned specific Vulnerability IDs for each issue: HWPSIRT-2018-12275 through HWPSIRT-2018-12289.
