Summary
CVE-2018-9369 is a local privilege escalation vulnerability affecting the bootloader of certain devices. The issue arises due to the presence of a fastboot command that permits user-specified kernel command line arguments. An attacker who successfully exploits this vulnerability can escalate their privileges without requiring additional execution privileges. However, user interaction is necessary for the exploit to be executed.
