Summary

CVE-2018-14933 is a remote command execution vulnerability affecting NUUO NVRmini devices. The issue lies in the upgrade_handle.php file, which fails to properly sanitize the uploaddir parameter used in a writeuploaddir command. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by injecting shell metacharacters into the uploaddir parameter, thereby executing arbitrary commands on the affected system. Successful exploitation could lead to unauthorized system access or data theft. It is strongly advised that users of NUUO NVRmini devices apply the available patch to mitigate this risk.
