Summary
CVE-2013-2597 is a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability affecting the acdb_ioctl function in the audio_acdb.c file of the acdb audio driver in the Linux kernel 2.6.x and 3.x. This issue, which is found in QuIC Android contributions for MSM devices and other products, can be exploited by attackers who can manipulate applications accessing /dev/msm_acdb. By providing a large size value in an ioctl argument, attackers can gain privileges, taking advantage of the buffer overflow and potentially executing arbitrary code.
