Summary
CVE-2013-2094 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's perf_swevent_init function, located in kernel/events/core.c. Prior to version 3.8.9, this function incorrectly uses an incorrect integer data type, enabling local users to exploit it through a specially crafted perf_event_open system call. Successful exploitation could result in privilege escalation.
