Summary
CVE-2012-1535 is a critical vulnerability in Adobe Flash Player versions before 11.3.301, 11.2.202.238 on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux respectively. Hackers can exploit this unspecified issue by delivering crafted SWF (Small Web Format) content, often hidden within Word documents. Successful attacks may lead to arbitrary code execution or a denial of service (application crash). The vulnerability gained notoriety in August 2012, when it was actively exploited in the wild.
