Summary

CVE-2010-3035 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Cisco IOS XR 3.4.0 through 3.9.1. When Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is enabled, this software does not appropriately manage unrecognized transitive attributes. An attacker can exploit this issue by sending a crafted prefix announcement with an unrecognized transitive attribute (type code 99) to trigger a peering reset, leading to a denial-of-service condition. This vulnerability was publicly disclosed in August 2010.
