Summary
CVE-2010-2883 is a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability affecting Adobe Reader and Acrobat versions 9.x before 9.4 and 8.x before 8.2.5 on Windows and Mac OS X. This issue arises due to a long field in a Smart INdependent Glyphlets (SING) table of a maliciously crafted TTF font contained in a PDF document. An attacker can exploit this flaw to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (application crash) remotely. This vulnerability was exploited in the wild in September 2010.
