Summary

CVE-2004-1464 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Cisco IOS 12.2(15) and earlier. Malicious actors can exploit this issue by sending specially crafted TCP connections to the Telnet or reverse Telnet port. Consequently, the affected device refuses VTY (virtual terminal) connections, leading to a denial-of-service condition. This vulnerability may impact network availability and potentially hinder legitimate user access.
