Summary

CVE-2000-0456 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting NetBSD 1.4.2 and earlier versions. Malicious local users can exploit this issue by constantly executing specific system calls in the kernel that do not return CPU control. This results in a "cpu-hog" effect, which consumes system resources and causes a denial of service to the affected system.
