Summary

CVE-2000-0406 is a vulnerability affecting Netscape Communicator versions prior to 4.73 and Navigator 4.07. This issue arises from the applications' failure to validate SSL certificates rigorously. An attacker can exploit this flaw by redirecting traffic from a legitimate web server to a malicious one. As a result, sensitive information can be stolen during the communication between the user's browser and the phony server, known as the "Acros-Suencksen SSL" vulnerability. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to confidential data transmitted over SSL-secured channels.
