Summary
CVE-2000-0398 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting the wconsole.dll component in Rockliffe MailSite Management Agent. Attackers can exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted HTTP GET request with an excessively long query_string parameter. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to execute arbitrary commands remotely. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as an attacker could gain control over the affected system and potentially steal sensitive information or install malware. Organizations running Rockliffe MailSite Management Agent are advised to apply the available patch as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
