Summary

CVE-2000-0361 is a vulnerability affecting the wvdial software and its lxdialog script, version 1.4 and earlier. This issue results in the creation of a .config file with world-readable permissions during the PPPDialer configuration process. An attacker in the dialout group can exploit this weakness and gain unauthorized access to sensitive login credentials, including usernames and passwords.
