Summary

CVE-2000-0319 is a vulnerability in Sendmail 8.10.x where the mail.local component fails to correctly identify the end of message marker ".\n". An attacker can exploit this issue by crafting a message that is 2047 characters long and ends with ".\n". This can result in a denial of service or corruption of mailboxes due to improper handling of the message by the Sendmail software.
