Summary
CVE-2000-0305 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting multiple Microsoft operating systems, including Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows NT 4.0, and Terminal Server. An attacker can cause a system disruption by sending a large volume of identical, fragmented IP packets, which overloads the IP fragment reassembly process. This issue, also known as "jolt2" or the "IP Fragment Reassembly" vulnerability, can lead to a denial of service condition, rendering targeted systems unreachable or unresponsive.
