Summary

CVE-2000-0256 refers to a buffer overflow vulnerability in the htimage.exe and Imagemap.exe components of FrontPage 97 and 98 Server Extensions. This issue enables users to perform unauthorized activities beyond the scope of the web site, commonly known as the "Server-Side Image Map Components" vulnerability. By exploiting these buffer overflows, attackers can execute arbitrary code or gain unauthorized access, potentially leading to serious security consequences.
