Summary

CVE-2000-0140 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting the Internet Anywhere POP3 Mail Server. This issue allows remote attackers to overload the server by establishing a large number of connections, resulting in service disruption. Exploitation of this vulnerability does not provide unauthorized access to user data but can make the mail server unresponsive to legitimate users. The attacker must have knowledge of the targeted server's IP address and POP3 port number to execute the denial-of-service attack. Users of the affected software are recommended to apply the available patch or update to mitigate the risk.
